A Glimpse of The Henry

Like many Esplanade residents, I've watched the construction at The Henry with some curiosity over the last year. But a few days ago, I had a chance to take a tour of the building's courtyards and interior. I understand that the building's first residents have been allowed to move in their belongings, but a lot of work still remains to be completed. Below are a few pictures of what's happening inside the building. I regret I was not able to get any pictures of their fitness room, their community room, or a separate community room they are calling their "Pub Lounge," which will have brick walls, vintage street-lamp style wall sconces, flat screen TVs, and pub tables.

Above: this the large center courtyard at The Henry. In the back right of this courtyard, near where you can see the barbeque grills, there will be a large rock water feature.

This is their north courtyard - the apartments on this level have patios that open up to the courtyard. Where you can see the people in the background of this photo is the esplanade side - you can walk around on that side and get to the center courtyard.

This is a kitchen of one of the studio apartments. All the units I saw had similar flooring and appliances.

Doorway out to a patio on one of the courtyard-level units.

This was taken from their rooftop patio - an outdoor sitting area all the way at the top of the building. At right you can see a roll of artificial turf - this turf is being put down for a small outdoor dog-walking area on the rooftop.
