News and notes for this week

A few items of news and note for this week:

  • Window cleaning is scheduled to begin tomorrow and continue through 5/27. For residents new to the building, window cleaners will be suspended from the roof and will clean all of your exterior glass, including deck railings. Please move items away from glass, and expect to see cleaners outside your windows at any time during the cleaning days.

  • Comcast Thirsty Thursday: A representative from Comcast will be back for another event this Thursday, 5/19. Residents may take this opportunity to ask questions about different services, make changes to their accounts or just enjoy something to drink. Heritage Distilling Company from Gig Harbor will provide wine and beer. There will be an X1 demonstration showcasing all of the apps that you can access on your TV, such as Pandora.

  • Look for the social committee survey: The Esplanade HOA board recently granted permission for the building social committee to conduct a survey, by leaving questionnaires outside or under resident doors. The questionnaire will survey residents about different possibilities for upcoming social events. Please return questionnaires to Building Manager Karen DeGraw (you may slide them under her office door during non-business hours).

  • Contact for any issues with the trains: A concerned Esplanade resident has recently been doing some research about noise pollution/air pollution from the trains that run alongside Dock Street. As with all neighborhood-related concerns, more voices always produce results. Any other residents who would like their voices heard on train-related issues should contact Gus Melonas, the BNSF Railways Public Affairs Director, at gus.melonas@bnsf.com.
