News and notes for this week

A few items of news and note for this week:

• Water shut off - On Wednesday, 2/17 the building's water will be shut off from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Smith Fire will be in the building working on a repair to a valve during that time. 

• Meeting about new parks - Metro Parks and the Foss Waterway Development Authority are developing plans for Foss Waterway Park and Central Park. The public is invited to participate in one more meeting, at 6 p.m. Wednesday, 2/17, at Metro Parks headquarters, 4702 S. 19th St., to present final designs and get additional comment. • Free museum night - This Thursday (2/18) is the regular third-Thursday-of-the-month Tacoma Art Walk. The Museum of Glass, the Tacoma Art Museum, and the Washington State History Museum all have free admission in the evening.
