Events for Sunday, 4/23/17

There are several events happening on the Foss Waterway on Sunday, 4/23:

9:00 - Get your hands dirty and have fun!
At 9:00 a.m., the "Friends of the Foss" group will meet outside the new Mexican restaurant at The Henry. In addition to special work parties like the one this Sunday, this newly-formed group will also meet every second Saturday of the month, at 9:00 a.m., outside The Social. The group's function will be to work on general beautification of the Foss Waterway Esplanade. 11:30 - Free daffodils, tulips, and mimosas from the Social Committee!
The Esplanade Social Committee has received a donation of hundreds of fresh daffodils and tulips, which residents may take to brighten up their units. These flowers will be available in the Esplanade lobby, starting at 11:30 a.m., along with free mimosas! These spring perks are brought to you in honor of the annual Daffodil Marine Parade (see below).

    12:30 - Rain can't dampen the parade!
Sometime between noon and 1 p.m. expect to see a flotilla of decorated boats on the Foss Waterway. The Tacoma Yacht Club parade hosts the Daffodil Royalty, plus dozens of other yachts and marine vessels.
