Building committee needs volunteers! Meeting tonight!

Have you been looking for a way to help out around The Esplanade and improve the building? Do you care about the building's interior and exterior upkeep? Would you like to give input on all kinds of building-related matters? The HOA Building Committee needs you!

The HOA board is responsible for decisions about the building's amenities and upkeep. The management company (and the building manager) implement those decisions. But the board members are busy, and cannot possibly do thorough research on all the decisions and options that come their way.

This is why a building and grounds committee is important - to make recommendations to the board, and when called upon, to assist in all sorts of building-related matters, for example:

  • Landscaping, planters, exterior walkways, etc.
  • Community room furniture and amenities
  • General building repair and upkeep
  • Warranties on all manner of building equipment
  • Lobby, hallway decor
  • Contractors, maintenance, cleaners, etc. in the building

Thus far, attempts to recruit members for a building committee have not met with much success. A few more committee members are needed, particularly residents with a little knowledge of home maintenance, or building management, or just generally well-organized people.

Can you help?

A meeting will be held tonight, Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 6:00 p.m. in the community room. By attending, you are not making any commitments - just satisfying your curiosity or attending to get more information is OK. Please consider helping out!
