Today, Tacoma News Tribune columnist Matt Driscoll published a column calling further attention to the problem. If you are not familiar with Driscoll, he was recently hired by the TNT to replace longtime local columnist Peter Callaghan. So far, Driscoll seems to get it. His columns are generally on-point, interesting, and seem to nicely balance competing viewpoints on issues of local interest, particularly issues related to development and improvement of various Tacoma neighborhoods.
