News and notes for this week

A few items of news and note for this week:

• The Esplanade Social Committee would like to thank Esplanade residents for their recent support of the committee’s events. Working together in 2015, the Esplanade community donated over 500 pounds of goods for the food pantry, plus numerous items for Toys for Tots. The Christmas party and auction was not only a social success, but also raised funds for the purchase of round tables and chairs for the community room. For 2016 the committee is planning a wine tasting party and other quarterly events. Anyone interested in joining the Social Committee please call Sallie Zimmer at 253-960-7308 for more information.

• Reminder: On Wednesday (1/6) the lower garage will be closed from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for installation of the garage door. Click on the image below for more information:

• The Esplanade Book Club will meet at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, January 7 in the community room. The book for discussion this month is An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth, by Chris Hadfield. Do come whether you've completed the book or not. Wine and snacks are also on the agenda; feel free to bring something to share if you like.
